No one realizes how beautiful it is to travel until he comes home and rests his head on his old, familiar pillow – Lin Yutang (1895 –1976), Chinese writer, translator, linguist and inventor.
Miércoles 7th Octubre. Sarria, Lugo, Galicia, España.
So not exactly at home on my old familiar pillow, but it just about felt like it.
Synopsis of day: sleep in until around 8:30; breakfast at hotel; hairdresser (J), wander around taking photos (me); explore the old part of town; kebab for lunch at Turkish eatery (!); coffee at nearby bar and help some newly arrived Irish pilgrims to order food (and give them a couple of pointers); back to hotel for 2 hours sleep; check dryness of boots (not); drinks with Donna and Jim; drinks with Melie, Kerry & Hank back at Robertos; dinner there. (BTW, if this trip seems from the outside as just one great big moving party, that’s a pretty close assessment, just with several hundred kilometres tossed in.)
No other news to tell. Some photos follow:
